Data Deletion Instructions
You can request deletion of your TruRace account data, including data associated with Facebook login, race activity, and Prize Builder records, by contacting TruRace directly.
How to request deletion
- 1Email info@thetrurace.com from the email address associated with your TruRace account.
- 2Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- 3Include your name and the email address or Facebook account email used to create or access your TruRace account.
- 4If you cannot email from the account address, include enough information for us to reasonably verify that you own the account.
What we delete
- Account profile information maintained by TruRace, such as name, email address, display name, and account preferences.
- Facebook login identifiers or authentication records that connect your Facebook account to TruRace, where applicable.
- Race, leaderboard, referral, Equalizer heat, Prize Builder, Prize Value, Gear Credit, and connected-account data associated with your TruRace account. Connected fitness account data such as Strava Data is deleted within 30 days unless longer retention is required by law or by agreement with you.
Timing and confirmation
We will review and process verified deletion requests expeditiously. For connected fitness account data such as Strava data, deletion will be completed within 30 days unless a longer retention period is required by law or by agreement with you.
After processing your request, we will send confirmation to the email address used for the request or to the verified account email.
